Lucy O’Doherty and Harry Culy, Blue Room
Past exhibition
Overview
The Blue Room brings together work by Sydney-based painter Lucy O’Doherty and Wellington-based photographer Harry Culy. Linked by a shared interest in quotidian and domestic spaces, as well as an intersecting visual sensibility, these painted and photographic works are a collection of unpeopled vernacular or domestic spaces. These works are presented as psychological stages, questioning what may have happened, or is about to happen; hinting at ambiguous narratives, akin to fragments from short stories or poems.
